What are page peel ads? They are a combination of flash and images that produce a unique effect. It’s like a page fluttering in the wind. The ads are situated in the upper right hand corner of your blog. Look now in the upper right hand corner of this blog. Do you see it? Are you wondering if you should check it out? Yes, of course.

Just draw your mouse over the top of it and you will see the page turn magically to expose one of our advertiser’s ads. Pretty interesting isn’t it? Are they hard to add to your blog? Nope, they are super easy. Go to the Member’s Lounge. Choose Manage Blogs. Click one of your blogs, and click Get Code. Then scroll to bottom to find the script needed for page peel ads. Have questions? Click on the Page Peel Ad Tutorial link to get additional information either as a publisher or advertiser.

Sorry, I’ve come to hate them on other sites. They are difficult to avoid and drive me nuts peeling themselves when I really want to click something near them.

  • Chinaren said,

Okay, I’ll give them a go. How do we get credits for these? Is it on shows or clicks/both?

Also, I see you’ve added ‘total available to be clicked’ info in the total clicks report. Nice one! Now I have Adsense 100! I assume that’s a percent. ;)

You receive the same as a regular ad. Ad views and page views every time they are shown. You should receive click points for clicking on them.

  • kexbrown said,

@Chinaren – You have “Adgitize 100.” You don’t want to confuse our ad network with those “other” guys.

That is actually 100 points for the day. If you click all available ads for the day you score 100 click points.

Woops! Sorry! I don’t even have (that other one) on my blog. Lol

    And…

I see! Damn. I’m still missing one for today. ~Goes hunting~

Mmm. I’ve just realized, I’ve only seen the ‘Adgitise 100′ sign once, which is why I mentioned it.

I didn’t find the last ad to click on yesterday, and today, as I was doing my rounds, I realized which one I hadn’t clicked on. Mine!

I haven’t seen it at all. I know it’s still running, and people click on it (from the stats), but do you not see your own when logged in? If so, how can you do a 100?

That said, if that’s the case, how did I do a 100 (%) the other day? Or am I just being really unlucky and not catching my own ad?

I mean, I surfed a lot of sites, some with a lot of ad spots.

You don’t have to worry about clicking your own ad. We reduce the number of ads by one so that should not be a problem. I think most of the problems occur with the 468 X 60 px ads. Since only a few blogs carry those and they are normally at the bottom of blogs they get missed.

I would recommend you click on the 468 X 60 ads when you see them. I added them to the Adgitize blog to help members out when they are clicking on ads.

  • Chinaren said,

Ah! That could be it! Thanks! :)

Hmm, it’ll be interesting to see how these work out. I really don’t like them on other sites, though, so it’s still up for debate whether I’ll try them out myself.
