Decision Made!
Posted by kexbrown on November 16, 2009
A couple of days ago we posed the question about a new Advertiser Only status for advertisers. Many of you took time to write out well formed comments about this new status. I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciated the comments.
We have decided to continue on with our current prices and to NOT implement the Advertiser Only status.
It definitely had some good points to the idea and maybe some day it will make sense to implement, but at this time we don’t feel it would produce the desired effect. We spent a lot of time today going over numbers in the database and getting a feel for what the real return of this idea would mean. It appears that it wouldn’t give a significant revenue bump to publishers.
Staying on with the Advertiser Plus program will produce the return on investment to our publishers, publisher / advertisers and even our advertisers that will keep you happy and continuing with the traffic and revenue that you have received from Adgitize in the past.
The new rates are beginning to show revenue increases in small doses and greater numbers will come as the end of the month approaches. I want to again thank everyone for taking time out of your busy schedule to provide input to help us make a decision.

Whatever decision you make, as long as it benefits the Adgitize network in general vis-a-vis its own survival and growth and the publishers in particular when it comes to added cah rebates, I’ll continue to advertise in the Adgitize.
The Adgitize is the only decent network I know that brings in real traffic to blogs, with an excellent support, warm community and friendly members.

oh, yeah.. I wasn’t able to give a very constructive idea about it. But anyway, I think it be fair if everyone will pay the same amount. And if they would want to get back the money they spent in advertising, then that’s the time they have to be a publisher as well.

It’s refreshing to know that the Adgitize management led by Ken Brown consult and listen to the members’ feedback and opinions before making decision affecting the members.
It is unlike the other ad network where I’m also a member, in which the management even shut down its forum, disabled comments to its blog, and make decisions from the ivory tower.
Long live Adgitize!

What about the Fact that I will Receive Less Refferals because the Well Promoted Cornyman comes with his Recommendations on How to use Adgitize the Correct way and Trying to Steal my Affiliate links It look like that to me

I think this is a good decision for now until you see how the new advertising rates pan out. Too many changes too quick makes it hard to judge what is effective. The new rates are hurting those who have more than one blog they want to advertise but for now I like the let’s try this and see what happens one change at a time.

I am glad to see an advertising network that actually listens to its members. I am happy with the decision to keep the pricing the same across the board. But, if the decision had went the other way, I would have understood the need for Adgitize to guartantee its owm survival.

Thanks for your compliment about my “Recommendations on How to use Adgitize the Correct way”!
Just used your comment for a new blog post.
Hopefully we can get into a discussion about Adgitize with you and other interested readers!
@Ken:
I guess the success of an “Advertiser Only” would have been minimal as these advertisers would have less visitors than the “Advertiser Plus”(numbers in your database). Even with the lower price the Cost-per-Click would have been worse than for the more expensive ads.
As Sharkbyte, Laane and other members wrote, it’s less likely that we members click on ads with NO widget (or we click the last two or three ads but don’t take a look at these websites).
In the end your decision was fast and good prepared with an eye on these new advertisers who would have lost more than won.
Thanks for letting us participate in your decision!

@cornyman yes you Have Good Tips about Adgitize on your Blog and thanks for mentioning me.Where we can discuss this a little Further on How to use Adgitize a Little Better.
The Comment itself was a little Improperly Published as I read it Now .Where I had been Mentioning that My 5 Comments were Just Wiped off this Site and I am Possibly loosing Affiliate links because of this.
kexbrown said,
@Chris - we don’t remove any comments from our site. Spam is caught before hand, so once your comment is on the blog it’s there. We do reset the comment counter at the start of each month.
I doubt that you are losing any affiliate links because of this practice. We do publish comments exactly as they are written, if portions aren’t fit to print we might not print any of it.

I would like to said that I have a plan to advertise here (i am a publisher only right now)when I have enough revenue from my blog. My plan is making an affiliate link for it and also to my blog as a traffic booster. So I hope that the management can stick on the current rules which is allowing the landing pages without Ads.
Thanks for the consideration.

Glad you and your other partners have decided not to discount advertising rates.
Also, I was wondering: If I have more than 1 blog, can each one join independently? or must they all be under 1 same account?
I have all in 1 Adgitize account, but when I look at the leaderboard, I realize that some members with multiple blogs are listed seperately — As if they have registered more than once and are perhaps receiving multiple payouts?
Thanks
John
PS: I would have written in the forum, but I’m not registered there even though I’m logged in here.
kexbrown said,
@John - The forum requires a separate registration.
You may have multiple accounts. But, before you do that remember that your blog traffic is added together to produce your ad view points and page view points. Plus, if you are an advertiser you get the advertiser bonus points, which doubles your click points, double your ad view points and double your page view points.
kexbrown said,
@Bachrum - It is okay to have ad landing pages that do not contain an Adgitize Ad Group.
